The trucks are measured when driving through the visual gate. The position of containers or free spaces on the trailers are measured in relation to the trailer rear end.

Additionally the maximum dimensions are to be measured in width, length and height. The measuring system can be integrated in the SeeGate II OCR system.

At arrival and departure at/from the site, the trucks pass through the visual gates. The laser scanners are situated in these visual gates as well as in two additional steel structures.

Dalosy Industrial Systems provides the needed structure (pole) for the front- and back laser scanners. The vertical scanners are mounted inside the “existing” visual gate portal.

The laser scanners in the gate measure width, height and profile. Laser scanners in front of and behind the gate measure the truck position and length. With this information a 3-D image of the trucks is generated.
